A Poem about My Hate for Mosquitos

By Inaya Gandhi

Mosquito, Mosquito

You are my greatest foe

Wherever I go, you seem to follow

Like unwarranted TikToks of the D'amelio Show.

Your buzz is like a dentist’s drill,

It makes me lose my chill

A different sound may help the pain

Perhaps a ‘grah’, Ice Spice would say.

Who invited you? It’s not clear

But yet you make me fear.

A beast so small, so sly

Instead of sun tan, max-strength repellent is what I reapply.

You love me,

But I think you are ugly.

Mosquito, Mosquito

It's time to go.
