Creative Pranks (happy late April Fool's Day!)

I’m well aware that April Fools has been done and over with by the time this is posted to the website, but what’s a girl to do? Sometimes the best inspiration strikes when you can’t use it anymore. It’s like when you think of the wittiest comeback that would have absolutely gagged your friend like two weeks after whatever tussle you were having. 

This is a list of all the really creative April Fools Day pranks that I’ve thought of over the years after the day has already passed. I guess you can use these to prank your loved ones (or your hated ones) but make sure you give me credit! You can also use these to prank people in general, whenever you want. Who says April 1st is the only day for pranking? Prank people on November 12th! Change the status quo!

1. The Apron Prank

I honestly have no idea when I came up with this, but I think I got the idea from some cartoon I used to watch when I was younger. I recently started working at a new coffee shop with my friend, and she brings her own apron to work. I thought it would be funny to snip a quarter off of her apron string for around two weeks just to make her think she bought the wrong size apron. I obviously never did it because that’s mean, but maybe you’re meaner than I am. 

2. The “door is broken” Prank

I also got this idea when I was at work. For some reason, there’s a ton of doors in the back of the shop, so I thought of taping “door is broken, use other door” signs to every door with arrows pointing counterclockwise. I guess these first two pranks really only work if you’re employed, which could be bad news for some of you. Or maybe you know someone that wears aprons a lot. Or you know a public place where you can tape signs to a door and get away with it. 

3. The “win big!” Prank

I don’t really know how the logistics of this would work, but I think if someone actually did it, it would be really silly. This is based on Instagram giveaways and stuff, so for those of you with Instagram famous best friends, this prank is for you. Tell said Instagram famous best friend to post a story saying that viewers can win something valuable if they text the person you want to prank their best goat impression or something equally silly. Make sure you block the person you’re pranking, so that when their texts are full of people doing goat impressions, they’ll be really confused.

4. The Dispenser Prank

This is a prank that I actually want to do one day. It’s putting things like frozen peas or M&Ms in the ice dispenser. No one in my family really uses the ice dispenser, but I think if I was annoying enough, I could get them all to use it.
