This December 25th, stop by The 2019 Milking Cat Winter Fair, a spirited celebration of the winter holidays. Located at The Milking Cat Headquarters, the fair runs from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm and is open to all visitors, regardless of age, gender, religion, or height.
Visitors will be greeted and awed by our towering 35-foot Christmas tree and our unparalleled “Archways of Christmas Wreaths (tm).” Enjoy our Water Into Wine fountain in the middle of the park, listen to the sacred harmonies of the Carolling Trees in our courtyard, or bring your child to play Pin the Tail on the Disciple by the entrance.
From 11:00-12:00, complimentary hot cocoa and eggnog will be served in our festive red and green cups, and from 12:00-1:00ish, our holy nativity scene reenactment will commence in our visitors’ center, starring Denzel Washington as all three wise men and introducing, in his first on-stage role, Luke Jacobson as the newborn baby Jesus (contingent on whether the birth due-date given by Mrs. Jacobson was accurate, of course).
From 1:15ish-2:00 we invite everyone to the entrance area to experience our spiritual gingerbread crucifixion reenactment. Afterwards, we will promptly lock our very talented baking staff inside a tomb with only the ingredients to make one gingerbread cookie. Come back in three days as we unlock the tomb to reveal Gingus Christ in all of his glory as the undeniable one true lord of all gingerbread people.
In the northwestern sector of the fairground (that’s past the port-a-potties, beyond parking lots 1-4, and behind the Virgin Mary statue), feel free to check out our Hanukkah and Kwanzaa exhibits running from 2:55 to 3:00. Eat a Jewish potato pancake made by our volunteer friend Gabe, or try lighting one of those oil-lantern type thingies -- yaknow, the one with the multiple candle spots.
In addition to all of these festivities, we also have Santa’s Elves, a popular winter-themed orchestral band, playing holiday music throughout the event! They will be playing all of America’s favorite holiday songs: “12 Days of Christmas,” “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” “Last Christmas” and more! They don’t know any Hanukkah or Kwanzaa songs, but maybe they can try to sight-read “Hanukkah, Oh Hanukkah” or “Kwanzaa is Here” if you really want??
Hopefully, you will come out and experience Christmas like never before at The Milking Cat’s 2019 Winter Holiday Fair! Oh, and also Hanukkah and Kwanzaa from 2:55 to 3:00 if time permits.
Wishing you happy holidays from our family to yours,
The Second Ever Milking Cat Threesome
Benji Elkins, Dan Soslowsky, Noah Stern
